Nikki Berger Martinez is a performer, designer, director, producer, teacher and visual artist living in Tucson, AZ. Nikki works in mediums including performance art, photography, film, sculpture and textiles. She holds her MFA in Acting from the Yale School of Drama and her BFA from Carnegie Mellon University. She was a member of the Williamstown Theater Festival Non-Equity Company for two years. She has studied with Anne Bogart and the SITI Co, the Trinity LaMaMa Performing Arts Program, The Fordham/Orvieto Theater Institute in Italy and at the Workcenter of Jerzy Growtowski and Thomas Richards. She danced classical ballet for fifteen years before studying movement with Victoria Santa Cruz, Maureen Fleming, Dawn Saito and Wesley Fata. She is a founding member of new theater house and co-artistic director of Tooth and Nail and the recipient of the Brooklyn Arts Exchange Space Grant. She has taught dance, art and playwriting at City Kids Dance (Brooklyn, NY), L'Ecole Des Beaux Arts (Brooklyn, NY), The Grelock Project (Williamstown, MA) and at The Dwight/Edgewood Project (New Haven, CT). She was the head of Creative Dramatics and Art at the Sweet Soul Movement Summer Arts Program (Manhattan, NY) for two years where she was commissioned to develop original curriculum for children ages 4-9. She is currently Adjunct Faculty in the Theatre Department at Pima Community College.
