It is my aim as an artist to rediscover the line between art and ritual and to empower the individual to actively engage in the comfort and strength that mythology has to offer. The human need for Myth is intrinsic. It aids in expressing our bliss and horror in the face of the awesome mystery of being. Engagement in the rituals that spring from mythology assist the marking of birth, rights of passage, death and in our celebration and grief. It is indeed the foundation for a healthy psyche and society. I believe that interaction with the arts is at the forefront of awakening the principles of Myth into our lives and this interaction is at the heart of all my work.
